What we Offer

LUCID Dance & Performing Arts are an Established school based in the 

west midlands.

We offer Professional, Fun and Friendly Dance and Theatre training from as little as £3.50 for a session. 

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced performer, we encourage all pupils from all backgrounds to reach their full potential, learn new skills and have fun along the way.

For Boys and Girls ages 3 - 18 Years

Upcoming events 2019

We always aspire to work towards a goal by showcasing our hard work to families and friends and thanking them for supporting LUCID  pupils. This by tradition is an end of school year performance and a Christmas presentation. As a Thank you to Performers we offer a FREE SUMMER Fun week at the end of the Summer term. ALL

DANCERS will have the opportunity to take IDTA Examinations in Freestyle and Street Dance in November. 

Theatre Performers may take LAMDA and recognised Musical Theatre exams.

And lets not forget an end of year Party and awards presentation to celebrate and come together with our friends and LUCID Family!

We also provide workshops and have had some famous faces visit the academy already, with many more to come! ☺

FAQs

What do I need to wear?

Your Health and Safety are paramount to us and so comfortable, moveable clothing with non-marking soles are strongly advised. 

Will I have to purchase a Uniform?

We aim to keep cost to a minimum whilst looking presentable in our classes and insist that everyone purchases one of our logo tops at least for practice wear and training.

Professional and reasonable!

At LUCID all Teachers are fully insured, hold enhanced DBS checks and are First aid trained. We ensure that we are up to date with policies and our own training as Teachers. We do not believe in excessive spending, costume costs or exhausive lists. We want everyone to enjoy the experience and have equal opportunities whilst doing something that they love.

MEET THE TEAM

LEAPING LOUISE - Dance

Louise is the Principal of LUCID Dance and Performing Arts.

 She first began her Performing career at the age off 11 when she appeared on trailers for CITV, modelled at the Black Hair & Beauty show at the ICC and performed as a Cheerleader for the Birmingham Bullets Basketball Team making regular performances on SKY TV.

Louise trained at PHIL WINSTONS THEATREWORKS in Dance and Musical Theatre graduating in 2007. She gained her IDTA Associate in Freestyle with Disinction and has taught in Spain with her qualification. Her passion for teaching has given Louise over 10 Years of experience teaching all ages from Pre School-Adults. 

Louise currently teaches KS3 & KS4 delivering BTEC Dance and Physical Education aswell as sharing her passion for the Performing Arts with LUCID Pupils.

MONOLOGUE MIKE - Drama

Michael is a freelance Theatre Director, Actor, Performer and Theatre Maker. 

He trained at the Royal Centre of Speech and Drama, London and holds an M.A in Performing Practice from The University of Central London. 

Theatre credits include Here Because We're Here (Birmingham REP). Television credits include Eastenders (BBC) The Bill (ITV), BRUM and RAGGY DOLLS (CBBC).

Specialising also in LAMDA, Michael can instruct in the delivery of these examinations as well as delivering the Arts Award programme.

Currently Michael resides as the Artistic Director of Total Perception CIC Theatre Company in the West Midlands spreading his infectious energy, creativity and making dreams happen.
